研究興趣

代謝致病機轉之探討

肥胖、糖尿病、心血管疾病與癌症占全世界人數多達15%的比例,而且已經被證實與慢性發炎或代謝疾病有密切的關聯性,亦為全球急欲解決的課題。因此,藉由脂肪細胞(adipocytes)機轉上的探討,以及肥胖及糖尿病等代謝疾病模式的研究,可以釐清慢性發炎及代謝異常在癌症所扮演的重要角色。

個人化腫瘤標誌之搜尋及探討

肝癌及尿路上皮癌為台灣常見的癌症,因此如何藉由準確性高、非侵入性的檢測方式早期發現,並以個人化的方式加以有效的治療為本實驗室研究的目標。實驗室以核酸晶片的資料挑選一些癌症相關之腫瘤標誌作深入探討,如:與氧化壓力相關、與致癌訊息傳遞路徑相關、與microRNA相關、及免疫癌症相關之基因等,以實現個人化醫學檢驗之目標。

砷化物致癌及抗癌之研究

由於砷化物的抗癌機轉為多標的攻陷癌細胞,因此其抗藥性問題不若標靶藥物嚴重。若能釐清其抗癌機轉及副作用,進而合併其他藥物於臨床醫療的使用上,將更有助於提昇其抗癌效果。除此,如何避免其毒性作用以提供臨床治療之參考,亦為重要的臨床課題。
